Before the industrial revolution, the envelope and the letter were the same thing. People used to write on it, and then fold it and stick it with hot wax. Folded Mail uses the same principle with contemporary techniques, in order to save paper and energy. You write or print this sheet of paper, then you fold it and stick it by removing the strips on the sides.
